Flushing, NY – Last week, Assemblymember Ron Kim presented a New York State Assembly Proclamation to Hugh Mo, chairman of the Asian American Police Executives Council (AAPEX). The Assemblyman warmly welcomed the attorney, his family, and members of the community to his district office for the presentation, and spoke warmly of his efforts and achievements on behalf of the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hugh Mo is widely recognized as a pioneer for the Asian American community in the legal and law enforcement fields. He became the Deputy Commissioner of Trials for the NYPD in 1984, becoming the first Asian American to hold such a high-ranking position. In his role as chair of AAPEX, he has labored tirelessly on behalf of the greater good, and worked to support the careers and professional development of Asian American law enforcement officers. Upon receipt of the proclamation, he thanked Assemblymember Kim for the honor and promised to continue working hard for the sake of the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
